A real estate cover letter’s opening is the first impression that a candidate makes on a hiring manager.

The harsh truth is that from the first glance at a cover letter’s formatting and reading the opening paragraph; a recruiter decides whether they’ll consider the applicant any further. That’s why your cover letter needs to be impressive off the bat.

Start with formatting. Use a traditional business email format for a cover letter. Include your contact information in list format with details like your full name, city of residence, and email. The header should also include the application submission date and any relevant details of the hiring manager.

Try your best to find the hiring manager’s full name and email to interact with them directly, as opposed to beginning the cover letter with something generic like “To whom it may concern” or “dear sir or madam.”

The majority of the information has been conveyed to the recruiter. The final task before finishing a real estate agent’s cover letter is the closing lines. These are the last thoughts that a candidate states to the recruiter, and it should leave them with a positive impression.

Begin with the closing paragraph. Shorter than the other paragraphs, the closer brings together a cover letter into a cohesive communication. While many of the aspects in a closing paragraph to a cover letter are optional, there is one that isn’t. Saying thank you.
